It’s always good news when we hear that companies are hiring. According to the chart below, the trucking industry had it’s ups and downs (like any industry). However, year-over-year, the trucking industry added 10,000 jobs from December 2015 to December 2016.
And they’re still hiring!
So much so, that when you sign up with us to get your commercial drivers license (CDL), and you have a clean record, you have a job waiting for you when you graduate in as little as 4 weeks! Usually, they start paying at $40,000+ a year. There are also, depending on the company and the particular job, signing bonuses!
Job opportunities range from local delivery jobs, regional (in-state), regional (neighboring states) and of course, cross-country national travel.

President Trump’s choices for Commerce Secretary and Secretary of Transportation, Wilbur Ross and Elaine Chao respectfully have been approved by the Senate. In their confirmation hearings, the following hot topics were discussed:
- NAFTA – the North American Free Trade Agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
- Large-scale infrastructure projects and how they are going to be funded.
